What is the trend in cabinet wood & stain color for kitchen cabinets?
We are building a new house in the Denver, Colorado area and were wondering if there is a current trend in selecting the type of wood and stain for the kitchen and bathroom cabinets? Are most new houses going with cherry, maple, oak, or hickory for their cabinetry? And what color of stain is in now?
Answer: My friend just built one with ash and a natural stain and high gloss ueruthane...breath takingly beautiful. We have oak with a light golden stain assessorized by brass handles. I think if you go with to dark of stain, it will make the room appear smaller and boxey.
