Shelves and cabinet in a bedroom closet...?
I have two closets, one for my clothes and one for stuff. I currently have one shelf and a bar underneath, with a dresser (not built in) underneath that. I want to build two more shelves under the first one and then a built-in cabinet to hide some of my horsebackriding equipment. How would I get started on this project and are there any special things that need to be done when putting the shelves and cabinet up?
Answer: There are several do it yourself closet companies out there that are actually very simple to install. I had the same thing, good size closet with one shelf and rod all around the perimeter. By doing this closet system I added 12 feet of hanging feet, 4 corner shelves, 3 pull out drawers and 2 more shelves for nicer things. There are plenty of these types of options and even more finishes were a few years ago. Plan on spending at least 500.00 dollars. Probably the best money we have spent in the house so far.
